You can send each email to a maximum of 250 recipients when using webmail, and 350 recipients when using POP & IMAP software. If you need to send an email newsletter to a large number of subscribers, we recommend that you sign up for MailChimp or an equivalent service.

When using webmail, you can send a maximum of 350 emails every 24 hours. When using POP & IMAP, you can send a maximum of 2000 emails every 24 hours.

Each recipient of an email counts as one email sent. Sending one email to 10 recipients is the same as sending 10 emails each with a single recipient. Newer accounts may be subject to more restrictive sending limits during the first month of service.

If you need to send an email newsletter to a large number of subscribers, we recommend that you sign up for MailChimp or an equivalent service.

Some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) block the standard port 25 for sending email. To solve this problem use one of the alternate ports we provide for SMTP such as port 587 or port 465. To find out how to change this for your particular app or email client check our list of Setup guides on this page.

This is such an important question that we wrote an entire blog post about it, which you can read here: Why Pay for Email?
